Scans come out in the wrong order, a signature page needs to go to the end, or a document scanned back to front has to be reversed. Fixing this in a desktop editor means opening an app, dragging thumbnails and saving again. Typing the new order is faster and works from any device.
The order is a list of page numbers, with ranges allowed. "3, 1, 2" puts page 3 first. "1, 4-6, 2-3" lists a range after a single page. A range written backwards such as 6-4 puts the pages in reverse. Repeating a page number repeats the page, which is handy for forms that need several copies of one page. The tool uses qpdf, so pages are copied unchanged.
By default, pages you leave out of the list are added after the pages you named, in their original order, so nothing is lost. Untick that option if you want a file with only the pages you listed. To reverse a whole document, tick the reverse box instead of writing a list. Uploads can be up to 20 MB, and password protected files need the Unlock PDF tool first.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reverse all the pages?
Tick the reverse box and leave the order field empty. The last page becomes the first. This is the quick fix for a stack that was scanned back to front.
What happens to pages I do not list?
By default they are added at the end in their original order, so no page is lost. Untick the "add the pages I did not list" option to keep only the pages you typed.
Can I repeat a page?
Yes. List the page number more than once, for example 1, 2, 2, 2, and the page appears that many times in the new file. This is useful for forms that need copies of the same page.
Can I move one page to the end?
Yes. Type the pages in the order you want and leave the rest to the automatic add option. To move page 2 to the end of a 5 page file, type 1, 3-5, 2.
Is my PDF stored?
No. Your file is written to a private temporary folder, processed for the length of the request and deleted straight after, whether the job worked or not. We do not keep copies, build a library of uploads or read the content of your documents.
