Free Rotate PDF Tool
This free tool rotates the pages of a PDF by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Rotate the whole document, or type page numbers such as 2, 5-7 to fix only the sideways scans. The change is saved in the file itself, so it looks right in every viewer. Your upload is processed once and deleted from our server straight after.

About this tool
Scanners and phone apps often save a page sideways or upside down. The page looks wrong on screen, prints wrong and confuses anyone you send it to. Rotating the page inside the PDF fixes it once, for every viewer, instead of asking each reader to turn it by hand.
The tool sets the rotation value of each page with qpdf. No page is redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Choose clockwise 90 degrees to turn a landscape page upright, 180 to flip it over, or 270 to turn it a quarter turn the other way. Rotations add to any rotation the page already has.
Leave the page box empty to rotate every page. To rotate only some pages, list them with commas and dashes, for example 1, 3-5, 9-. Page numbers start at 1 and must exist in the file. The upload can be up to 20 MB. Password protected files need the Unlock PDF tool first.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Type the pages in the page box, for example 2, 4-6, 9-. Pages not listed stay as they are. Leave the box empty to rotate the whole document. Page numbers start at 1.
Which direction is a 90 degree turn?
Clockwise. A 90 degree turn moves the top of the page to the right. 180 degrees turns the page upside down and 270 degrees is the same as a quarter turn anticlockwise.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. It is written into the page settings of the new PDF, so Acrobat, browsers, phones and printers all show the page the same way. Your original file on your device is not changed.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page rotation value changes. Text, images and links are untouched, so there is no blur and the file size stays almost the same.
Is my PDF stored?
No. Your file is written to a private temporary folder, processed for the length of the request and deleted straight after, whether the job worked or not. We do not keep copies, build a library of uploads or read the content of your documents.
