Free Text to PDF Converter
This free converter turns plain text into a PDF. Paste your text, pick a font, a size and a page size such as A4 or Letter, and download the file. Long lines wrap to the page width and new pages start on their own. The text is processed once on our server and not stored.

About this tool
A plain text file is easy to write but awkward to share: fonts change from device to device, line breaks move and some portals only accept PDF. Converting the text to a PDF fixes the look, so the reader sees the same pages you do on any phone, computer or printer.
Choose Helvetica for letters and notes, or Courier when every character must line up, as in code, logs and tables made of spaces. Courier keeps your spacing exactly. Helvetica collapses repeated spaces and wraps words at the margin. Pick 10, 12 or 14 points for the text size. The PDF is written directly by our server using the standard PDF fonts, so no font files are embedded.
The standard fonts cover Latin letters, numbers and common symbols such as accents, the euro sign and curly quotes. Characters outside that set, such as Hindi, Arabic or Chinese letters, are replaced by a question mark, so this tool is not right for those languages. Up to 400 pages are made per run. For formatted pages with headings, use the HTML to PDF tool.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Hindi, Arabic or Chinese text?
No. The tool uses the standard PDF fonts, which cover Latin letters and common symbols. Other scripts would show as question marks. Use a word processor and export to PDF for those languages.
Which font should I choose?
Helvetica is best for letters, notes and articles. Courier keeps every character the same width, so use it for code, logs and tables made of spaces. Courier also keeps repeated spaces exactly as you typed them.
Is there a length limit?
The text box takes up to 500,000 characters and the PDF can have up to 400 pages. If your text is longer, split it into parts and convert each part.
Will the PDF be searchable?
Yes. The text is stored as real text, not as pictures, so you can search it, select it and copy it from any PDF viewer.
Is my text stored?
No. Your text is turned into a PDF in memory during the request and nothing is written to disk or saved afterwards. We do not keep copies of what you paste, and we do not read it or add it to any list.
