About this tool

When someone pastes your link into a chat or a social post, the preview picture decides whether they click. Pages without an Open Graph image show a blank box or a random crop. A clear title on a clean background in your brand colour is a quick, consistent fix for blog posts, tool pages and landing pages that have no photo of their own.

Type the page title, an optional subtitle and your site name, choose a colour and one of four templates: solid colour, gradient, light with an accent bar, or dark. The text colour is picked automatically so it stays readable on your colour, and long titles are wrapped and sized down to fit within three lines. Titles of about 60 characters or fewer look best. The image is drawn with the Inter and Outfit fonts that this site uses.

After you download the PNG, upload it to your site and point the og:image meta tag at its full address, and add a matching twitter:image tag. Keep important words away from the edges, because some apps crop the sides. The font covers Latin letters, numbers and common punctuation; emoji and other scripts are removed. You can check the live tags afterward with the Open Graph checker.

Frequently asked questions

What size should an Open Graph image be?

The widely used size is 1200 by 630 pixels, a ratio of about 1.91 to 1. Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and X all display it well. Keep the file under a few megabytes, use a full web address in the og:image tag, and keep important text away from the edges.

How do I use the image on my website?

Upload the downloaded PNG to your site, then add a meta tag in the head of the page: og:image with the full address of the file. Add a twitter:image tag with the same address for X. Most content management systems also have a field for it in their SEO settings.

Why is my old preview still showing after I change it?

Social networks cache link previews. After you update the image, use the Facebook Sharing Debugger or the LinkedIn Post Inspector to fetch the page again. Giving the new file a different name also helps, because the address then looks like a new picture to the cache.

Can I use my own logo or photo?

This generator draws text on colour only, so it has no logo or photo upload. It suits sites that need a clean consistent card quickly. For a photo or logo layout, use a design tool and export it at 1200 by 630 pixels.

Is anything I type stored?

No. Your title, subtitle and colour are used to draw the picture and are not saved. The PNG appears in the result as a download and exists only in your browser page, so save it before you reload or leave the page.
