Do I need both Open Graph and Twitter Card tags?
X falls back to Open Graph tags when Twitter tags are missing, so og tags alone often work. Adding twitter:card tells X which layout to use, which is why this tool writes both. Other apps simply read the og tags.
How long should the title and description be?
Titles around 60 characters and descriptions up to about 155 to 200 characters usually show in full. Platforms cut text at different lengths, so put the important words first. The checks below the tags flag text that is likely to be shortened.
Why does a shared link still show the old image?
Platforms cache the data for a link. After you change the tags, use the sharing debugger of the platform to fetch the page again, or add a version to the image address. The tags on your page will be correct even if the preview takes a while to update.
