Free Long-Tail Keyword Generator
Long-tail keywords are longer, more specific search phrases, such as "running shoes for flat feet", that fewer sites compete for and that show clearer intent. This free generator turns one seed keyword into real long-tail phrases from Google and Bing autocomplete for India, the US, UK, Canada, Australia or the UAE, grouped into questions, comparisons, modifiers and alphabet expansions.

About this tool
Broad keywords such as "shoes" or "SEO" are crowded, vague and slow to rank for. The searches that bring buyers are longer: "running shoes for flat feet" or "how much does local SEO cost". Autocomplete is where those phrases show up first, because Google and Bing suggest what people actually type.
For each seed, the tool runs 30 autocomplete lookups: the seed itself on Google and Bing, fifteen question and modifier patterns such as how, why, best, vs and near me, and the seed followed by each letter from one half of the alphabet (you pick a to m or n to z). Suggestions that share too few words with your seed are dropped, duplicates are merged, and every lookup is cached for 24 hours so a repeat run costs nothing. If Google stops answering, Bing takes over and the result says so.
Autocomplete shows that people search a phrase, not how often. Treat the ideas as a shortlist, then check volumes with our keyword suggestion tool or Google Keyword Planner before you build a page around one. Questions make strong FAQ entries and subheadings, which also helps AI assistants quote your answers. SEO SMO HUB builds client content plans from exactly this kind of list, one page per clear intent.
Frequently asked questions
What are long-tail keywords in SEO?
Long-tail keywords are specific, usually longer search phrases with lower volume and clearer intent than broad "head" terms, for example "best budget running shoes for flat feet" instead of "shoes". Individually small, together they make up most searches, they are easier to rank for, and they convert better because the searcher already knows what they want.
Where do these keyword ideas come from?
From the public autocomplete suggestions of Google and Bing, the same lists that drop down under a search box. We ask for your seed, fifteen question and modifier patterns and half of the alphabet in the country you pick, then merge and group the answers. Nothing is invented: every idea is a phrase a search engine suggested.
Why are there no search volumes?
Autocomplete tells you a phrase is searched, but not how often. Volumes need a paid data source, so this free tool leaves them out rather than guessing. Shortlist the ideas that match what you offer, then check their volumes in our keyword suggestion tool, Google Keyword Planner, or Search Console impressions for similar queries.
How do I use long-tail keywords on my website?
Give each clear intent its own page or section: a question becomes an FAQ entry or an H2 with a direct answer underneath, a comparison becomes a versus page, and a "near me" or city phrase belongs on a local service page. Use the phrase naturally in the heading and first paragraph, then answer it fully.
Why do I get fewer ideas for some keywords?
Long or very local seeds, such as a service plus a city, have fewer searches, so autocomplete has fewer phrases to suggest. Try a shorter seed (drop the city, or use the main service word), run the other half of the alphabet, or switch country. Lookups are cached for 24 hours, so a repeat run returns the same list.
