Free Keyword Position Checker
A keyword position checker shows where a website ranks in Google for a search term. This free keyword rank checker finds your domain in the top 100 organic results for up to five keywords, in India, the US, UK, Canada, Australia or the UAE, on desktop or mobile, and lists the ranking URL, title and the top three competitors.

About this tool
Checking rankings by hand in your own browser gives a distorted picture, because Google tailors results to your location, device and search history, and your own visits to your site can lift it. This checker asks Google for the top 100 organic results of a clean search in the country and on the device you choose, then finds the first result that belongs to your domain or one of its subdomains. Position means the rank among organic results only, so ads, maps, shopping and other boxes are not counted.
Positions come from DataForSEO's live Google results service, and each answer is cached for 24 hours, so checking the same keyword again that day shows the same snapshot instead of a new lookup. When the live connection is not switched on, the tool says so plainly instead of guessing, walks you through the free manual check in Google Search Console, and lets you leave an email so our team can send the positions within 24 hours.
How to use the results: a single position means little on its own. Track a short list of money keywords every week and watch the trend, and look at which competitor pages sit above yours. The top three competitors listed for each keyword are the pages to study: their titles tell you how they match the search, and their URLs tell you whether a service page, a guide or a product page is winning. SEO SMO HUB tracks keywords this way for every SEO client and reports the movement each month.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check my keyword position in Google?
Enter up to five keywords, one per line, add your domain, pick the country and device, and submit. The checker reads a clean set of Google's top 100 organic results and reports the first position held by your domain or any subdomain, with the ranking URL and page title. Subdomains such as blog.example.com count as yours.
Why is my position different from what I see when I search?
Google tailors results to your location, device, language and search history, and your own visits to your site can lift it in your results. This checker uses a clean search from the country and device you choose, so it shows what a new visitor there would typically see. Differences of one or two places are normal.
How do I check keyword positions for free in Search Console?
Open Search Console, choose Performance, then Search results. Add a Query filter for your keyword and a Country filter, and switch to the Devices tab if needed. The Average position column shows where your pages appeared over the date range. It averages many searches, so it will not match a single live check exactly.
What does "not in the top 100" mean?
It means none of the first 100 organic results for that keyword, country and device belonged to your domain when we checked. The page may rank lower, may not be indexed yet, or may target different wording. Confirm the page is indexed in Search Console, then compare it with the top three pages we list for that keyword.
Can I track keyword rankings over time with this tool?
This checker takes a snapshot, cached for 24 hours. For a trend, run the same keywords once a week and note the positions, or use Search Console's date comparison. If you want rankings tracked and explained every month, that is part of every SEO SMO HUB SEO plan, together with the fixes that move them.
