Free UPI QR Code Generator
This free UPI QR code generator makes a payment QR code from your UPI ID and name, with an optional fixed amount and a note that appears in the payer's app. It builds the standard upi://pay link that Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every other UPI app reads, and draws it as a PNG and SVG you can print on a counter stand, invoice, flyer or menu.

About this tool
Enter the UPI ID (also called a VPA, such as shopname@okaxis or 9876543210@ybl) and the name that should show in the payer's app. Leave the amount empty for a code the customer fills in, or set it to create a fixed-amount code for a product, a ticket or an invoice. The note is shown as the transaction remark, which helps you match payments later. The tool joins these into the UPI deep link, percent-encodes the values, and encodes the link as a QR code at level M, the level most payment apps expect.
The result is the same kind of static QR code that banks and payment apps print for merchants: the code carries only the link, so no transaction is created until a customer scans it and confirms in their own app, and the money goes straight to the account behind the UPI ID. Nothing you enter is stored on our server. The PNG is ready to print; the SVG stays sharp at any size for a designer or a signboard printer.
The code works for person-to-person and small merchant payments, which is what a VPA supports. It cannot set up a mandate, a subscription or a bank-verified merchant QR with an MCC code; those come from your bank or payment provider. Before you print, scan the code with two different apps and check that the name and amount shown are correct.
Frequently asked questions
Is a UPI QR code made here safe to use?
Yes. The code contains only the standard upi://pay link with your UPI ID, name and optional amount, the same format every UPI app uses. It cannot pull money from anyone: the payer scans it, sees your name and the amount, and confirms the payment in their own app with their PIN. Nothing is stored on our server, and we never see any transaction.
Which apps can scan this QR code?
Any UPI-enabled app, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, CRED and the UPI scanners inside bank apps. The link follows the NPCI UPI deep link specification, so the payer's app reads the payee ID, name, amount and note directly from the code.
Should I set a fixed amount?
Set it when the price is known in advance: a product, a ticket, a course fee or an invoice. The payer sees the amount pre-filled and only has to confirm, which avoids typing mistakes. Leave it empty for a general counter or donation code where the customer enters the amount themselves. A fixed-amount code must be regenerated when the price changes.
Why does the payer see a different name than I entered?
Most UPI apps verify the UPI ID with the bank and show the registered account holder's name instead of, or next to, the name in the code. That is a safety feature, and it means the name on the account behind the UPI ID is what customers will trust. Use your real registered name or your registered business name in the code so the two match.
Can I use this QR code for an online shop?
You can show it on a checkout or invoice page for manual payments, but the payment is not confirmed automatically: you have to check your bank or app for the credit and match it using the note. For automatic confirmation, order tracking and refunds, use a payment gateway, which also gives you a merchant QR with proper reporting.
