About this tool
A donate button lets readers support a blog, a channel, a charity project or an open-source tool in two taps. The code behind it is short: a PayPal button is a small form that opens the PayPal donate page, a UPI button is a link that opens the payer's UPI app with your ID filled in, and a Razorpay button is a link to a payment page you created in your Razorpay dashboard.
Choose the provider, fill in the matching fields and style the button. The generator checks the values, escapes them for HTML and writes a snippet with inline styling, so you can paste it in a page, a widget or a theme file without extra CSS. A preview shows roughly how the button will look. UPI links work on phones that have a UPI app, so on a desktop browser consider adding a UPI QR code as well.
No money passes through this site. The button sends the donor directly to PayPal, to their UPI app or to your Razorpay page, and the payment provider handles the payment and any receipts. Check your local rules for accepting donations or running a fundraiser, because they vary, and test the button yourself with a small payment before you publish it.
Frequently asked questions
Does this site handle the donations?
No. The button only points to PayPal, to a UPI app or to a Razorpay payment page you own. The payment, the fees and the receipts are handled by that provider and the money goes to your account. This site never sees the payment or the donor.
Why does the UPI button not work on my computer?
UPI links open an app, so they work on phones and tablets with a UPI app installed. On a desktop browser nothing may happen. Add a UPI QR code next to the button so desktop visitors can scan it with their phone.
What do I need for the Razorpay option?
A payment page or payment link created in your Razorpay dashboard. Paste its address, which usually starts with https://rzp.io or https://razorpay.me or https://pages.razorpay.com, and the button will open it. Razorpay handles the payment form and the receipts.
Can I let donors choose the amount?
Yes. Leave the amount empty and the donor types their own amount on the PayPal or UPI screen. Fill it in only if you want a fixed amount, for example for a specific item or a suggested donation.
